Virtual Paintout: San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

Here's my latest for Bill Guffey's Virtual Paintout. So many beautiful flowers everywhere you drop the Google Streetview yellow man! I went with colored pencil this time.

  2. Love this!! The composition, color, paper texture...all of it!

I never saw so much bouganvilla in one place, ever.

  3. Thanks Christiane and Leslie!
Of couse, after I scanned the photo I noticed the angles of the door frame tops were off kilter. It's amazing how I often don't see something during the drawing phase but I photograph it, and bam!, the mistakes jump right out at you.
I finally found my 120 set of colored pencils while cleaning out my art supplies closet last week so I'll be doing more of these. All these years I thought I owned Prismacolors and they're actually Design Spectracolors.
