Bath / Office Remodel

I want to remodel the bathroom and area just outside of it in my finished basement to be used as a space for my foster kittens. See rough floor plan below.

It needs to have a moppable floor (currently there is carpet) and it needs to be set off from the rest of the basement with a mostly glass wall to let as much natural light reach the kitten area. I also want to see what the kittens are doing when I am not in their enclosed space.

This space could be used as an office or (unofficial) bedroom in the future.

The complicating issue with the wall is that the area where it needs to be is under a heating duct so the clearance is only 75", too low for a standard door. Some type of custom solution will be needed.

I am opting for sheet vinyl because kittens often barf, pee, and poop in inappropriate places and I don't want anything to be able to leak through gaps in tile or plank flooring. Mannington makes a thick version that doesn't have to be glued down. The thickness would be more comfortable to stand on and block cold from the concrete floor.

The bathroom currently has a claw foot tub (not original) which is not practical. I want to replace it with a 42" shower stall to be more practical for me as I age and to create more floor space. There are existing cabinets on the wall across from the door and above the sink that I would to keep. I would also like to retain as much existing tile around the tub and retain as much of the wall tile as possible. I believe there are leftover tiles in the attic.

The toilet and medicine cabinet should stay, the sink and tub will be removed.
The width of the wall shown here is 79" wide.

The current pipes for the tub are not done correctly:

The kitten area is where the pool table is seen in this photo.
The pillar in the center is not inside the kitten area. It is actually about 4 ft away.
The bathroom is behind the wall behind the TV.

Other concerns about the space:
There is a drain in the floor currently covered by carpet (where the tall lamp is in the above photo) -- seems worthless in case of a leak! I would like to expose it and discuss if something should be done about it.

Wall

The space where the wall needs to be only has ~75 inches of height, too low for a standard door. There is only a window well on that end of the basement so I want the wall to be mostly glass so natural light from the opposite end of the basement can be seen.

Door to close off water shut-off area

Can be decided later. Maybe a louvered door?
