Happy Day: Christine Dumont, Voila and Maunsell again!

I got a very nice surprise today! I checked flickr and found an email waiting for me. It was from Christine Dumont telling me she had featured me on Voila, the European polymer clay site. THANK YOU!!
If you don't believe me, here's proof!

I don't know how long I'll be on the front page so I made a screen capture for posterity! I already sent this photo to a bunch of friends because I was so excited!

(Claire Maunsell's beads were featured also. Claire has been making very pretty perfectly striped, hollow beads lately. I am completely mystified about how round hollow beads with no visible seams would even be made. Claire is obviously magic!)

My Maunsell Bead Necklace

I finally had time last night to make my necklace with the beads I bought from Claire Maunsell. It can be  wrapped around twice or worn as a single long strand.

Beautiful beads by Claire Maunsell on etsy.com

I loooved these polymer clay beads at first sight and bought them immediately this evening. (This is the first time I ever purchased from someone else because I have so many beads of my own!)

I like the texture, color, and out-of-an-ancient-tomb vibe. While purchasing, I left a note for Claire asking if she had plans to make more in a few other colors -- I have a vision of them all mixed together in one long dramatic necklace. She indeed does plan to make more so I will post my necklace when it is finished.

In meantime, go check out her other interesting items on flickr and etsy
