Bowersox: Way before Idol

Crystal should have won American Idol but it's probably best for her that she didn't (she might be able to get into the studio sooner and have a bit more freedom!)
Listen to this performance from 1999 at age 13! Wow -- pure natural talent. I've downloaded almost all of her Idol studio recordings and will definitely buy her CD whenever it comes out.

American Idol: Crystal Bowersox!

Except for a few bright moments, American Idol has been underwhelming this year but Crystal Bowersox has talent to spare for the rest of the gang. She has the most fantastic voice! I've bought all her Idol studio recordings and they are great. The judges are always harping on the contestants to be "believable" and "to connect with the emotion of the song"...they never have to say that to Crystal. She does it ten times over, week after week. I looove her. If you have iTunes, go download all of her studio songs or at least listen to the snippets. Check this "Hollywood Week" performance (singing starts at :38).

Favorite Idol: Adam's album comes out Nov. 24

If you don't know, Adam Lambert was the insanely talented, very interesting runner up the last round of American Idol. I have nearly worn out all the Adam songs I downloaded from iTunes during the Idol season. If you are a fan of the show and have never downloaded the studio versions of the songs (by all the contestants), you are missing out. They are uniformly great. (You can only download them during the season and for a few months after -- they were all gone when I looked a month or so ago.)

Adam's version of "Ring of Fire" is the most played song on my iPod -- about 150 times more than the second most frequent song. This evening I learned that you can pre-order his CD on amazon.com and immediately did so. Adam! Adam! Adam!
